Pictured above: Shenzhen atop the Ping’an Finance Center, looking towards Hong Kong. Using China’s amazing quantum satellite program, you can zoom in, see people smiling, read car license plates and then move around 360 degrees to explore some more. Amazing…

I earlier reported on this 24.9-gigapixel Chinese quantum satellite camera being used to shoot a 360-degree panorama photo of Shanghai (https://chinarising.puntopress.com/2018/12/14/60-seconds-over-sinoland-quantum-satellite-camera-used-to-do-moveable-panoramic-photo-of-shanghai/). It went viral on China’s social media and now due to its popularity, they have gone to a number of other cities and sites around China, as well as internationally in Phuket, Thailand. The concept has been improved, with sign markers identifying and describing landmarks (in Mandarin) and other cities over the horizon, like a compass, to get a sense of direction. These latter have both English and Chinese. Move around with your mouse button and zoom in and out with its track wheel.
I’m proud to say they came to Shenzhen to shoot off the Ping’an Finance Center, the city’s tallest skyscraper at 599 meters and 117 floors. More on this amazing city here (https://chinarising.puntopress.com/2019/03/07/60-seconds-over-sinoland-shenzhens-economy-beats-hong-kongs-dont-even-ask-me-about-quality-of-life/ and https://chinarising.puntopress.com/2019/02/25/the-amazing-1-5-kilometer-long-wall-of-outdoor-art-and-graffiti-in-shenzhen-china-rising-radio-sinoland-190225/) .
