I’m really honored and excited to have Yousef M. Aljamal on the show today, to discuss his and Norma Hashim’s new book, A Shared Struggle: Stories of Palestinian and Irish Hunger Strikers.

I’m half Irish by ancestry and lived and worked in the Arab world for 10 years, getting to visit Palestine while there, so I was really intrigued to talk with Yousef.

 The book comes highly recommended.

The Forward is by Richard Falk, human rights activist.

It is endorsed by,

~ Gerry Adams, Ex-political prisoner, former President Sinn Féin

~ Ramzy Baroud, Author of These Chains Will Be Broken: Palestinian Stories of Struggle and Defiance in Israeli Prisons

As an aside, I highly recommend watching Al-Jazeera’s five-part documentary on Palestine, called Al-Nakba. You will be shocked by the true story,
