Jeff J. Brown has been busy over the winter holidays. While focused working on a specially commissioned book for the publisher, Badak Merah, he just interviewed journalist and commentator, Caleb Maupin, in the first of a series.
Only recently has Jeff, thanks to thousands of hours of research and writing, finally started to write about the “C” word: capitalism. He’s been dancing around it for years, having always believed in Winston Churchill’s famous aside, “Capitalism is the worst economic system, except for all the others”.
But now, after five years of living and working in a rising China, watching the West’s trajectory across the Pacific, in North America, and spanning Asia, to Europe, Jeff is having second thoughts. Experiencing first hand China’s undeniable success at home and abroad has shaken the very foundations of everything he was taught as a child and adult, back in America. It was time to confront his inner demons.
Thus, on China Rising Radio Sinoland, Jeff and Caleb had a fascinating and informative interview about the myths and realities of capitalism. This analysis will be continued in future discussions, to compare Euro-Socialism-Capitalism, Socialism, Communism and Anarchism.
