Pictured here and below: the seven-meter tall statue of Charles de Gaulle, as you enter China’s National Museum, on Tiananmen Square, Beijing. He was a visionary leader who kept France from being a whore for the USA and Britain. That lasted through Jacques Chirac’s presidency. Since then, Sarkozy, Hollande and Macron should all be tried and hanged for treason against the French people. They can’t bend over far enough and spread their legs for NATO, the City of London and Wall Street.

Sixty years ago today, on the 27 January 1964, French President Charles de Gaulle fully recognized the People’s Republic of China diplomatically. France was actually not the first to do so. In fact, it was Britain in 1950. But the Chinese refused the recognition, of course, after 110 years of raping and plundering China with opium and then morphine and then heroin, up into the 1940s until liberation. Not that the French were not also involved in colonialism, but Britain and the United States, the Anglo-Saxons, were the primary drivers of China’s misery for 110 years, from 1839 to 1949. In fact, Britain did not get diplomatic recognition until 1972, along with along with a lot of other countries, when the United States recognized China as the sole torch bearer of China, and there was only one China and Taiwan as a part of China, thanks to Nixon and Mao.
So, the British had to wait 22 years to get diplomatic recognition. But the fact of the matter is that France was a, quote, great power, a colonial power. Sweden and Denmark recognized communist China before France, but France was looked upon as a real world power on the UN Security Council, along with Britain and the United States and Russia. Thus, it was a really big deal for the Chinese. China, of course, accepted France’s full recognition, and they opened mutual embassies at that time. Again, Britain got to open theirs in 1972.
As a result of that, De Gaulle, his name in Chinese is Degelar, he is highly respected and admired in China for what was actually a brave thing to do at the time. Then Charles de Gaulle took France out of NATO. Therefore, he is highly admired. Due to this fact, he is the only Westerner, there may be some Japanese enemies, and there may be somebody from North Korea, maybe. I don’t know. The many times that I’ve been to the National Museum on Tiananmen Square in Beijing, I don’t remember any foreigners, other than the enemies of China, the British being portrayed as opium dealers, which they were, and the Japanese during the Chinese Civil War.
I don’t know of any other foreigner in China’s National Museum than Charles de Gaulle. And it’s a magnificent bronze statue, seven meters tall. I will put the photo on the web page for this little post, so that you all can see it. He’s striding, and it’s right on the ground floor as you walk in. I mean, you walk into the National Museum, he’s right there to the right.
De Gaulle was quite a man with a tremendous vision. And the Chinese recognize that. There’s going to be all kinds of celebrations this year to enhance Chinese and French cooperation.
