The standard rate that the West pays to create fake opposition protests on the streets of any country that does not lick its boots, is around €20/day: Hong Kong, Ukraine, Venezuela, Iran and countless other places, going back decades, of course adjusted to inflation – all the way back to Syria in 1948 (https://popularresistance.org/syrian-regime-change-in-the-context-of-us-syria-history/), just one year after the creation of the CIA, and Iran in 1953 (https://www.huffingtonpost.com/adst/the-cias-coup-against-ira_b_8001782.html). It is what empire does.
The vast majority of Venezuelans support their Bolivarian government’s socialist revolution and the continued nationalization of their petrochemical sector, which Uncle Sam wants to steal. But, you would not know that in the CIA-MI6-DGSC propaganda Western press. In reality, what you see is a minority of wealthy, turncoat locals organizing these US-paid, rabble-rousing traitors, while President Maduro is demonized around the world. Western taxpayers’ hard-earned money, hard at work, while millions are suffering back home. Ah, the destructive glories of global empire!
